I would say that Brian Eno made a good point when he mentioned how there's no longer many distinct stylistic trends like there used to be. There's so many styles around now that they mutate and merge into each other so quickly and we can't keep up. Looking at my Uncool Playlist I think it is pretty obvious that I am a victim, if you will, of this postmodern movement. Especially, when you can see will.i.am and Otis Redding next to each other... I wouldn't say I'm embarrassed about my shuffle mix. However, it's certainly nothing to be proud of. There are a couple of song I wish never came up *cough* michael buble *cough* but I am just guilty of having a very varied music taste. I think it's also pretty clear that the genre I listen to the most is indie pop/rock which, I'm fine about. (I'm just lucky none of my songs from musicals snuck their way in).
